  • FS: RARE! RLX LED lowbeams with ballast and shrouds

Well I finally decided to sell my beloeved RLX led lowbeams. Looked at them today and noticed the reflectors were starting to flake off the lens. The slightest breeze caused more to flake off. These need a new home inside someones headlight sealed away from the elements before even more starts to flake away and they become worthless. So far I cant tell any noticeable difference in brightness but if it keeps flaking its sure to become noticeable. These come with the ballast that I have soldered wires to as the oem connectors appear to be part of the cars wiring harness. THe wires are soldered to the tiny terminals and then secured with jb steel stick to keep them from breaking off. I can take more picture of this if the buyers want more. They also come with both oem shrouds and the screws needed to attach them.

Asking $80 shipped and the buyer pays paypal fee.

Reflector flaking off the back of the lens

    Output compared to modded s2k

Well there was a tiny bit of flaking when I removed them from the headlight. They sat in storage for a while before I removed them last week to take those s2k comparison pics. After that they were in my car for a while and when I brought them in the house condensation started to form on the lens because it was so much warmer in the house. As the condensation dried I started to notice glittery stuff floating through the air an saw the reflector flaking away on its own.

If anyone wants pics of the current output I'll gladly get them as it has not changed since I bought them. Just didn't feel like taking new pics when the old pics are still valid.

Sorry to thread jack but do you think MDX LEDs can be trimmed as well?

I don't know for sure. I've never had them. From the pics I've seen these appear to be smaller though. Also Acura advertises these as being brighter than HID while I've never seen that about the mdx's.

So what are the high beams that go with these? Is it that other reflector thats to the inside of this assembley on the original headlight?

I still have the high beams. They are separate from the low beam and use a completely different shroud and ballast.

Okay are the high beams LED also? I could fit the low beam assembly in my housing but that would be about it space wise.
