  • MazdaSpeed 6 "retrofit" - Custom bracket

Posting this up for my cousin...

    Stock-ness

    Morimoto

    _____________
There was a group buy on one of the Mazda forums recently, but apparently that was for a MAZDA 6 adapter plate... The Speed6 requires a DIFFERENT adapter plate; however, the headlights have a different bracket for EACH side...

These are the stock brackets, the plastic piece is the stock bracket:

As you can see, it took some ingenuity to get the Mazda 6 brackets to fit on the Speed6...

    Pics of how it mounts...

** Word has it that TRS is making a Speed6 bracket that should be shipping shortly. =] **

Why did you remove the bracket with the adjusters ? If you leave the adjusters in place in the housing wouldn't it be easier to keep your adjustment ?

I took the bracket off because the alignment wasn't great on the stock projectors so I would be starting over anyways. But taking them off this way I didn't risk breaking the flimsy joints that held the bracket... It worked out better this way

CCW=counter clock wise....the passenger side(sorry I said drivers side earlier) projectors cutoff is slanted down on the right side and going up on the left side. They need to have the "rotation" adjusted to they will be straight _____________/--------------- and not slanted. It looks either off rotation or your at an angle on the road and your drivers side is off rotation. Then again looking at it again it might just have that much of a bow to it and you might want to fix that too. If you look at the pic in post #2 the fouth one down.
