  • 2002 Peugeot 406 MK2 sedan

    Hello guys,

After experiencing troubles with my precedent retrofit: eBay G1's only, I decided to go for a HQ one, and I ordered Minis H1 at TRS.
I also decided to keep the G1's in the High Beams for style. I removed the shield to act as a bright spot only.

here are some pics of the car before:

Output of these was crap even less than halogens. now I'm happy with my new retrofit style (know the glass is dirty, i'll wash tomorrow):

    Everything didn't go OK !

The screw of the morimoto was too short, I couldn't attach it to the halogen bulb holder. I had to cut a hole through the reflector and use epoxy.
I used the H4 plate for proper alignment.

I'll post pics of the Car / DRL / output tomorrow. I just couldn't help

Looks good so far! It will have a nice, aggressive look.

      Thx Gold !

      Just installed them:

The DRLs are not wired for now. I miss 2 1200V Drivers for the E-bay CCFL Halos.

I've never seen a 406 up close; what is the remaining space between the high beam reflector (in which the Mini H1 sits) and the center grille, but still inside the headlights? It looks like there is still some reflector there that is not part of the high beam. I'm not talking about the space outside, which seem like a turn signal.

1 is some space left by Peugeot in their headlights. I assume it is for reflecting the pilot light.
          2 are my eBay G1s
          3 are the pilot lights
          4 morimotos mini H1
5 the turn signal, left unchanged

Here are the pics at night (from my GT-I9505 so sot a good quality):

          All ON !

And here's the output, i'm truely glad of the color flicker !

I see. Yes, I was wondering about space #1. Even without the retrofit, that position seems far enough from the pilot light, no?

No, with the chrome painting it manages to shine.

But maybe that's only for appearance.

So bad, XB Leds aren't as bright as expected... Not enough to be used as DRL I guess ....

Yeah they are bright, but I never thought they were really DRL brightness.

Nah, a lot of people use these for "fake" DRLs, thinking they meet OEM DRL requirements lol.

                              lol now I know they won't ^^

I wouldn't have bought them if I knew in the first place.

Anyway, I went for a test drive yesterday, OMG ! DAT Cutoff !
