  • 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Just a quick showing of all the lighting ive done so far to the front of the car. Pics and youtube overview video included. The LED scanner is the newest addition which is more for just because purposes as it was only $12.

    Hardware Included:

    q5 BiXenon Projector
    5000K 35w Morimoto D2H bulbs
    LED DRL
    Halo Ring

7w LED H1 DRL bulbs in blacked out reflector housing
    80W LED Fogs

48LED Knight Rider LED Scanner Strip

Below shows the Parking Lights which enables Strip,Halo and the 7w LED DRL bulb. A few night shots the light almost looks like blue 8000k, but they are pure white 5000k.

    Here are the Low Beams

    low beams as dusk approaches

    Low beams cut off line

Low Beams with 80W fog lights on

Here the highbeams are flicked on. Boosting the HIDs to full power, and also kicking the 7w LED Cree bulb back on.

High beams WITH 80w fogs and 7w cree bulb, massive lumens coming your way.

    Heres the youtube video.

35 seconds to 1m23s is me just clicking through different LED modes, so skip through if you want.

Looks like there is a bulb seating issue in the left projector. The hotspot is way to the left of the step instead of directly beneath it as it should be.

Are 80W fogs necessary? Seems like a gigantic blinding hazard.........

Those drop-in LEDs don't preserve the intended beam pattern of the fog lights. Its like putting HID in a Dual-Filament Halogen Reflector Housing. The beam will be scattered.

Props on the work. Headlights look way to busy for my taste.

They are interesting. I think that in this case, those headlights would have looked better with just the Audi-esque LED strip with no halo, but that's just my honest opinion. Output looks good!

I do like the grill without the crooked H. Is your car black or Pacific Blue Pearl?

do you have pics of how the projectors were swapped. my wife has a 2013 and the projector is one gigantic piece of metal ---did the aftermarket housings have a projector that is bolted/screwed in?

Currently I have 2 first generation radar units which were purchased for less than $100. Need a couple more upgraded as well as new belt cover as there seems to be a problem with it eventually. Also found Sonata Bulb Chart
