  • Fluted glass lenses - is this acceptable? - Suzuki Vitara 98'

After many months of lurking I finally started my own projec, thank you guys for all those amazing writeups.
So do you think that I can get away with this fluted pattern? I have read all the glass grinding / plexiglass lenses topic so I know what I am facing
I think its looking pretty ok.

Pics made on low beam, tried to take with different isos.

I would say you should do it for your own driving pleasure and grind the flutes away. Also there is alot of glare abouve the cutoff with the fluted lenses. Clear options are not avaiable for the 98 vitara as far as I know.

Although DEPO made clear lenses in the past, they are not avaible in the EU anymore, so I'm going with clear plastic lenses. Tried to aquire the clear lenses from Russia, as they still selling the clear DEPO headlights, but no success with the russian dealers. They all refused to ship items outside Russia...

So polystyrene (PS) was the only type avaible near me : https://www.gutta.com/product/clear-plates-for-crafts/
Already tried to pull it from the glass lense itself using a heat gun. Well the result was not satisfying. So I decided to build a vacuum forming table + a heater, since the frame does not fit into my oven and make a cement mold without breaking the glass lenses.

The design is similar to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlNPp6k5itY
