Nissan Note + Koito BiLED + DRL + Cornering light (Full LED)

I decided to make myself new headlights.

1. Based on RHD headlights Ichikoh with thermal sealant (LHD Valeo headlight have polyurethane sealant and less thickness body, but glass is better)
2. Koito BiLED shield mod
3. DRL Valeo from Peugeot 508
4. Turn signal Osram 7905YE-02B
5. LED Cornering light - bike light from AliExpress

PART 1 - housing of headlights.

RHD headlights have other sockets, i decided to glue in the headlight connectors of european cars so that the headlights were plug-n-play setup.

H4 - main socket low/high beams


European electric motor do not install on the Ichikoh headlight. I made two adapters.


I'm on Poxipol glued LED bulb Osram in hole of parking w5w bulb

I'm use resistor for normal blinking with LED bulbs, place on DRL driver

PART 2 - DRL/Parking module.

use arctic silver thermal glue to place two radiators on backplate. with radiators temp keeps normal - after hour works 42°C, without radiators - above 60°C

housing of headlights need small change - i heated the area and pushed it


positioning DRL relative to other parts of the headlamp housing. i place the module in place of the turn signal.

PART 3 - Koito BiLED mod.

my car have H4 bulb, to normal work of low/high beams i use diode and place he on radiator koito







Shield mod

Koito have many shields. I have this - default shield CH/EU version.


i don't like shading and high height of cutoff line, decided to just cut a little bit











I know that with such a modification, the high beam will go a bit into the oncoming lane, it's not important for me

everything is simple here, i mod RHD headlights

PART 4 - Front Cornering Light





electric consumption - 13W


radiator is overheating: after 5 min works - 73°C, therefore for a long time you can not turn on


for activate i'm using controllers, which the on the cornering light when on the turn signal

light have cut-off line, but not the best solution for cornering - small angle

PART 5 - Projector Shrouds

I do not like how it looks any universal shrouds in reflector. On nissan note reflector located inside a deep hole of mask headlights, and looks like a bug-eyed car.

PART 6 - Electrical wiring



Algorithm:
1. Koito LED connected with H4 socket.
2. High beam blinking:
day: DRL to parking mode + high beam koito
night: park lights to high brightness (DRL) + high beam koito
3. Cornering light only with low beam
4. Full LED headlights with plug-n-play wiring. Need only one additional socket for DRL mode.

PART 7 - Appearance of headlights

finally, even in dark places there are no dark circles around the projectors, as in my first retro




DRL works, it seems that the lights are excessively bright, but this is a OEM solution and it meets the standards




PART 8 - Cornering light

the light turned out at the same level, but on right side cut-off line have step, and low beam a little higher

I missed the angle of rotation of the lamp and there is a shading between the dipped and cornering lights, but this is my first experience.
