Retrofit of halogen headlighs 2012 Mazda cx-7

For mount i use position frame for hella 3, but need modification - holes does not match.

    Right projector mount

In back had to more cut to place fan with radiator, but strength is not broken.

Fan can be replaced without any problems from replace hole lamp

Reflector of halogen projector in excellent condition after over 37 thousand miles

Can reliably compare the light at fixed exposure. Lextar projector have smooth cut-off and more intense light than oem led headlights.

After mixing for a visual comparison of the intensity

Left headlights. Lextar from AliExpress no have additional cut-off frame for courtesy shading incoming traffic

After install projector check on car

    Check horizont on car

Everything is simple on the electrics - through a rubber seal, a low beam power supply and a high beam wires.

Headlights mask have notch for air convection, without this have fogging on bottom edge

Light is Lextar projector have more intencity in your roal line as halogen projector, and shines worse in width

I’ll do a road test and xenon copmpasion later

Thanks for the write up and the pictures. Where did you get the blue bracket from? I used a similar bracket myself so I. Am just curious about other vendors. Are you going to do any more upgrades to these headlights. Quads would look awesome.

The first thing I noticed in the beam was the absence of the shading at FMVSS 108 test point 0.86D, 3.5L (ECE 50L and 75L). Its interesting that your set was missing that little bracket & nib. When I talked with an official Lextar rep she did say that there are counterfeits of their biled on Aliexpress and Alibaba. But looking at your photos they appear genuine when looking at the small finer details. Because copy cats usual miss certain details that they think people won't notice or because they simply can't reproduce due to specialized tooling.

Nice job on the retrofit! This biled is really one of the best out there. It certainly isn't going to win awards for having the farthest throw or width when compared to other bileds or even bixenons but what it does have is a very good balance of beam performance. And most importantly it was designed to conform to the US/SAE and ECE photometric requirements.

this frames make many markets of lighting tuning, expample https://www.galogenu.net/catalog/perekhodnye_ramki/

Quads is look awesome, but this is very bad for night driving - after cut-off is very black, and no visibile any low glares. This is not the light of Mercedes where the inner lens shines wide like fog lights, and the outer one a central fill with a full low-beam cut-off

my version no have additional shield in this place:

these lenses on Ali are sold by a single seller, so I think this is not a copy, just a little easier for users.

Thanks for the link. I saved it to my favorites. Good to know that there are several companies that do this stuff now.
