  • Yellow Fog Lights w/ 3000k HID Bulbs turns Alien Green?!?!

    IMG_20130911_121057-1.jpgIMG_20130911_174739.jpg

I've tried 3 different sets of 3000k HID's and still the same look. So which HID Kevlar temp should I get to actually have a nice yellow output at night? 4300k? 5000k?

    Appreciate the help.

I just had the Fogs installed this morning. Had 3 different sets the shop had and one set was mine (3000k) and it turned out that green lmao.

So I will go with the 4300k or 5k. Which out of the two do you all think will be a better output for me???

No problem, 4300k with a yellow cover is the best for foglights IMO.

I'm not sure I've ever seen someone with 3000k bulbs and actually thought it was a matching pair or enjoyed the color

the issue is, with the HID bulbs, they use a mult-layer "dichroic" style coating. That's why people recommend a straight yellow filter.

Especially since you already have a yellow filter. 3000k bulbs are made using 4300k bulbs anyway.
