  • Lexus Koito RX350 AFS projectors with and without Bi-Xenon

    Any Info is welcome.

    Hello,
I just finished replacing my burned out AFS projectors on my 2007 RX400h for new projectors of the same type.
Bi-Xenon wasn't available back then and I still don't have after this replacement but it got me thinking and
since I got that "itch" again to make this retrofit even better I would like to know if anyone has info about the different RX350 projectors. Maybe there is a better RX350 version than my old style that I can intercahnge while keeping the AFS.

Is the 2009 -2012 Bi-xenon Projector compatible to 2003-2008 Model?

Pictures of the the different projectors maybe even with measurements would great too.

Weird thing is, I bought a pair of RX350 from Japan, one is low beam and one is bi-xenon. They look identical though. I'll get around to measuring them once I find my venier calipers.

Those reflectors look nothing like the reflectors in my 2010 AFS Bi-Xenon RX350..... I would start looking for adapter brackets.

The short answer is no. The projectors are completely different. The older projector is completely sealed up, whereas the bixenon projector has an open lens holder design.

niZmO_Man the difference is that in 2013 when Lexus facelifted the RX350, they changed the shield of the projector to be only a fixed low beam, as it has a halogen high beam. I know this because I swapped the low beam only projector with a bixenon in the 2013 RX450h a year or two ago.

Yeah, I saw the differences too now. But maybe they have kept the dimensions the same ?!
