  • Need Advice for halos: PROFILE PIVOT SWITCHBACK

    Hey guys,

Is there any chance the oven will damage my halos (profile pivot switchback) that are already installed in the headlight assemblies?

Im replacing the outer lens on my HL assemblies and am a bit concerned the baking process may damage the halos and the previously performed work (interior painted black).

    1. If the oven method is the best way to do this, what is the recommended temp and time for this lens swap (08 Toyota 4Runner)?

Ive never done this and would really appreciate any advice. Thanks.

your bulbs get like 400 degrees inside the headlight. Your halos are probably around the perimeter of your halo. You should only be heating the oven around 225-250 for like 10-20 minutes, im sure theyll be ok. You can always just use a heat gun as well, it only takes like 15 minutes with a heat gun and it separates just as easily and fast

Be aware that emerica is talking about fahrenheit. Not Celcius.

For me 70 deg celcius was not a problem for the installed LEDs.
