Update. The carbon backing plate is now perfectly milled and drilled. Notice that there is a plastic layer on the top side to protect it. Next I will mount the 12 Modpod minis. They will be staggered using delrin spacers. I also need a thin Delrin spacer so that the shroud sits flush with the plate.

Great to see this project. Looks good so far and high quality. Can't wait for the next pictures.

Final mockup of the modpod minis. I used some spacers for dry fitting. Not that the Carbon fiber backing plate still has the protective foil on it. Everything fits perfectly. Even the igniter can be tucked away nicely.

Another mockup. Don't mind the mess, dust, stains etc.

Note that the carbon fiber sheet still has the protective film.
Many things still need to be done:
Wiring
Putting a carbon fiber cloth on the inside of the headlight housing
Installing tons of bolts with nyloc nuts, washers, locktite etc

Seriously considering having the shroud painted black.

If you could somehow get the shroud to match the LED pod things, that would be cool. But it already looks good and like it matches in the last picture.
