If you have a common positive AKA "ground switched" H4 system you simply connect that common positive to the lowbeam input's positive, but instead of connecting the negative to the original H4 lowbeam negative you connect it to a good chassis ground. Wire the highbeams normally.

For the usual common ground systems you use a "controller" like a Motocontrol, or DIY a setup using a standard relay harness with diodes.

I have the MLED 2.0 with the Motocontrol and I'm having an issue with them currently. They are all wired up correctly yet the high-beams are constant on unless I unplug them from the drivers. TRS sent me a replacement Motocontrol box and it's still the same issue. I've tried load resistors in the open socket and that doesn't help. The odd thing is that when I initially got everything I hooked it all up with clips and everything worked fine, now that I installed it all it doesn't. So I'm pretty lost on that one.

I have these and I have the mini version to them and imho these projectors are great in terms of “foreground” comfort and Width that most LED projectors dont offer however they lack an intense hot spot

The one I am looking at is the 3.0” 45w or 55w version.
Perhaps the hotspot issue is due to the smaller size?

            • Yes, I have both the 3 inch and 2.5 inch projectors and they both offer a great foreground with width however the lux readings for them is around the high 300s and low 400s overall yes they are great performers. Im currently running a quad bi led set up with the ups bi led and the 2.5inch one. I was going to use the 3inch instead of the UPS but instead chose the UPS for the distance it offered.

Here are the 3 inch SANVI BI LEDs (the one you posted)

US $211.20 34% Off | Sanvi 2Pcs 3inches 40W/55w 5500K Car Bi LED Lens Headlight 12V LED Auto LED Projector Headlight With Dual LED Chips/Reflector

Here are the 2.5 inch SANVI BI LEDs

US $98.53 28% Off | Sanvi New 2.5 inch MINI Auto Bi LED Projector lens Headlight 35W 5500k Car Auto LED Headlamp H4 H7 9005 9006 Projector Light

I originally decided to use both of these projectors for a quad retrofit but after purchasing both and testing them out I came to the conclusion that while width and foreground brightness was great to have I realized that I was lacking distance.

I still have the 3inch projector laying around somewhere but currently Im running the UPS bi led/laser (same color and kelvin temp as both projectors) and the Sanvi 2.5 inch, with this setup it offers great width, great foreground, and most importantly great distance.

Here is a video I have of just the passenger side of the retrofit nothing is adjusted properly but It looks decent.

Do you have any pictures of the original setup?
My original plan was to run the Sanvi’s as my low beam and high beam with an auxiliary high beam led reflector.
