  • 2stroke LED

First question: are these worth buying as PNP for halogen projectors? If it's pure garbage, never mind the rest.

Second: if they are not garbage, are the diodes installed symmetrically? I have a reverse-mounted 9012 where up is down and down is up (my HID needs modified 9006 because 9012s have bad wire shadow right down the middle), so if they install with a diode required to face either up or down, I'd like to know.

They're not worth it. I think Lightwerkz did a test between the 2stroke, halogen, and hid bulb in a projector, and even the halogen performed better. There's no hotspot with the 2stroke bulb.

Wait, you have 9012 HID kit in your 9006 housing?

No to LED PnP. Also, 9012 are some of the best-performing halogen bulb types. You'd probably do better to switch back to halogen 9012. I think Philips still produces a few different versions of the 9012 (long life, normal, crystal vision, etc.). Is this a bi-halogen projector you're using?

Trim tabs and use 9011 bulbs, assuming you don't mind the shorter life span. Boosted with a relay harness they'll crank out 2500 lumen no problem.

I have 2 strokes in my 1500's fog lights (9006) and they are great... I also have LEDs in my recons which are H1 Morimoto projectors and they work great.. not sure how they'd perform in the halogen 9012 setup .

How do you define great in your fogs? Every time I see a truck with led or hid in the fogs (almost daily) it just turns them into high beams and I wanna smash them. Also, LED's in an hid projector??

Funny how people who say LED in their halogen housing are great never have good output pictures, especially ones comparing to halogen.
