Morimoto 4500k bulb color difference

Hello there

I have bought pair of d2s 4.0 projectors and d2h 4500k morimoto bulbs.

I tested them with used F3 fastbright ballast ( 6 months ) and new F3 fastbright ballast.

And i see 2 different colors:



New ballast is yellow as it should be @4500k but old ballast is more near to white.

So dose it change after some hours of usage ?

I heard somewhere here from someone that bulbs need to "break in" to reach their true color.

So if i still use my old ballast, Does it get yellower by the time ?

That was the key!

I ran bulb1 with old ballast and bulb2 with new ballast.

Now i fired both with new ballast once.
After that both started with correct color with used ballast too!
