Found this little tidbit on another forum:

62301 Osram Xenstar D-HC2S 35W 5400K D2S D-HC high color burner, very neutral white and only lamp without color pass, optically like xenon into the early 90ern as it on the market, is not any longer manufactured, residual item came available

Definitely some old inventory, I would say about 5 years old or more. Its been a long time since Osram built a bulb with that older style base.
D1S is where its at, Radically better EMI and RFI performance. Only the new Japanese cars still use D2 bulbs, the others have all changed to D1S.

i used them before, sold my only pair last year with low hrs. very white color without any blue. pure cool white and still very bright, like 2800 lumen i would guess. also sold under piaa brand but the bulb has been discontinued for a while and near impossible to find. i have pics if you want but you are better off getting the osram cbi which is not quite as white but noticably brighter.

yeah it looks like the old version of the CBI, something similar to the 85122CM which is a color match bulb - to replace dead ones so they match color shifted bulbs

found some pics. as you can see the brightness isnt quite the same as stock. but its much whiter than any colorshifted bulb.
