    08+ WRX Retrofit Complete DIY

To my knowledge, nobody has posted a full version. I would like to thank member CarbonXe for some helpful shots and tips. I have included my own tips and what not in my write-up. I recommend downloading it if you want more detailed photos. Google scaled them down a bit in the preview.

In case you were wondering and did not want to click, I used:

    -MDX Projectors
    -Matsushita Gen 3 ballasts
    -Morimoto 5000K bulbs
    -TRS harness

Hats off to the Retrofit Source for putting this awesome package together.

I also put in the Lightwerkz angel eyes.

Full write-up from the very beginning:

Just a heads up. When you are putting TSX-R lenses in, you want to orient the 5 scored things (they are turned incorrectly to the right side in the picture below) such that they are pointing down. This will ensure a clean cutoff and help disperse a minute amount of light upwards so that you can read street signs better, hence the name "sign light".

Thats a very impressive detailed how to. What is up with the right projector? the right side of the cutoff appears to lack width as it seems distorted/restricted?

I am not sure. I thoroughly cleaned everything when I was putting it all back together. My best guess is that the sign light I described above is oriented the wrong direction and may have caused a strange light dispersion causing some distortion. Although obvious here, it seems alright while driving. Perhaps if I get bored, I will bust it open again and look into it.

try to switch the bulbs and see if this will fix the passenger side cutoff, I am suspecting the bulb is off center

MNB I tried to re-seat the bulb because I thought it may have been a little funky with the spacer. After that failed, I switched them and here is the result (I apologize for the cell pic)>

Obviously it is an issue with the bulb. Is there anything I should do or do I need a new bulb? Thanks!
